Op-eds (opposite the editorial page) can be difficult to pitch at the best of times, but if you are eyeing up a spot in a large publication, how do you up your odds?

Ginny Fahs, technology fellow at the Aspen Tech Policy Hub, explained how she got her op-ed published in a major title in this article on Medium.

On pitching, Fahs advised to research requirements for each publication and alter submissions accordingly.

"Different publications have different word limits for op-eds, so I tailored my piece to meet word limit requirements," Fahs writes.
